Hi, I have been getting used to my 1650 and getting consitantly longer life out of the consumables. Today, I made a call to do one more "cut" and burnt a shield along with the nozzle and electrode. The shield had about three hours on it, so It cost me. I knew I should have stopped because the pierces were throwing dross further and taking slightly longer to get through (yes it is over the limit a bit .800"). I have yet to put my finger on when to change the swirl ring. Does anyone know what happens or what indicators happen to let one know to change the swirl ring? Or any parts for that matter. I could use any help here. If we know what we are looking at when it happens, then we can head it off and save time and parts ($$$). The biggest help we did was add a dryer. Thanks, WSS |

I am going to install a refrigerated drier, just for the plasma, once I get the current project finished.
