    Default Plasma tip dragging on steel

    I have a machitech EC 300 plasma table hooked up to a 105 hypotherm plasma ... when I run a program my tip drags on the part getting cut anyone explain why it's doing this ?

    Most likely your arc voltage setting is to low. Increase the set voltage until it runs at the correct height, which is .06". If you are not sure how to do this contact Machitech technical service. Jim Colt. Hypertherm

    Thanks ... it's a used machine so I don't have so support ... my machine has the ec301 thc control ... it I tried adjusting it .. still seems to drag ?
