air shield treatment
hi all.
i have a refridge dryer on my compressor that feeds shield air to my 260xd. the arc air is oxygen from a bottle.
would i need an inline desiccant filter on my compressor line? or is it unnecessary since it only provides the shield air for cutting.
just asking for any advice from experienced operators before i spend another $1000 on the filter
cheers
ryan

Re: air shield treatment
I see no reason, assuming your compressed air dryer is operating properly, to add a second source of air drying. A refrigerated dryer OR a desicant dryer is adequate, both inline would simply be overkill. Jim Colt Hypertherm

Re: air shield treatment
thanks again jim
i am chasing the proverbial perfect hole and so far i have been impressed with the truehole technology but there is always room for improvement, hence dry as possible shield air.
