The worklead connects from the power supply (internal connection on the main power board), the other end should have a welding clamp that connects to the workpiece (the metal that you are cutting). If you need help with the internal connection you can refer to the 1100 operators manual, if you do not have the manual you can download it from the documents library on the Plasma, waterjet and laser cutting systems from Hypertherm website or contact technical service at Hypertherm. technical.service@hypertherm.com or 1 800 643 9878 ..

So the work cable must be attached to the Gound , see picture, that is also connected the chassis ?
    Any recommended size cable ?

If you want to email me directly I can email you a copy of the connection listed in the service manual. This site is running really slow....and it has taken me 20 minutes just to open your message. As stated in my previous message....technical service can help you best...they are free, they are very helpful.

The worklead does not connect to the power ground or chassis ground...that could be dangerous. Here is a snapshot of the connection on the Control board Buss Bar. The wire should be a multistranded welding cable rated for 300 volts and 80 amps. 1100 hypertherm powermax conection work lead-work-connection-powermax1100-jpg

    Compared ti the schmatics
i did have the w31 and w35 cable on the bus bar
and a missing cable on the W36 wrinted on my pcp 30 instead of 36

so the working lead cable must be attached to this ?

    thank
