Info on the new functions will also come soon. We have a staff meeting at HQ in early May to get more internal info on this.

Will 2009.2 work in Inventor 2010 if it is running in Windows 7? Is that 32bit or 64bit?

HM 2009.2 will contain support for Inventor 2010.
A customer has told us of very nice performance results running on Window 7 OS. But we do not yet have an official statement from OPEN MIND QA group about this.
I just got an HP laptop with an Intel i7 processor. It came with 64bit Windows 7 home premium.
Autodesk will be supporting many of their products, including Inventor 2010, for Windows 7. So far it looks like IV2010 is a go on Win7!
With the Windows 7 64 bit, I wonder if the USB key will work? Does anybody use Hypermill with Vista 64bit?

Yes, there are 64-bit dongle drivers. And there are customers with Vista 64 bit OS.
Alen, In the documentation that comes with Inventor, it looks as though that if you have a 64bit operating system like on my new win 7 laptop, that you have only one choice and that is to install the 64 bit Inventor 2010. I looked anyway but during the install I did not see any way to direct it to the 32bit version. BTW, the install went very well and it all seams to work.
The ribbon interface is way different! That is going to take some getting used to.

My new laptop is Windows 7 64 bit. We desperately need a solution for this!
Today in the webinar they talked about how inventor works inside several different CAD programs but they did not talk to this issue.
It would be great if they go over all the operating systems and CAD and 32 bit vs 64 bit and tell us what works what doesn't and when the W7 64 will be coming. Should I stop waiting and buy/build another computer?
Cheers
