    Default Hypermill 3+2

In Hypermill, is 3+2 (X,Y,Z machining on a part tilted around B and C axis) part of the normal 3 Axis milling package? It is very unclear from their website and brochures. I am looking at adding a rotary 4th with a trunnion table to a VMC. On the trunnion table, we will have a zero point fixture which can be precisely rotated in 90 degree increments. All machining would be done with the part indexed. No simultaneous motion. I am very interested in HM in SW, but there is no way I can pay for a full 5 Ax program for a 3 Axis VMC.

Other software, for instance HSMWorks, very clearly make 3+2 part of the 3 axis package.

hyperMILL 2-axis or 3-axis cycles can be used with general frame (approach vector). No added tool paths required for 3+2. There would be a need for multi-axis postprocessor instead of your existing 3-axis vertical spindle PP.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought that was the case, but when reading the HM marketing data, they only mention 3+2 in the 5 axis brochure.
