Beginner question for Hydraulics
Hi everyone -
I've purchased and experimented with pneumatics and wanted to experiment with hydraulics.
For pneumatics, I had purchased a few cylinders, some clippard solenoids and hooked it all up to a micro controller. It was informative to say the least.
My goal: Hook up a single double acting cylinder and be able to extend and contract it with an electronically controlled valve. I would be okay with a manual valve to start.
For the cylinder I was thinking something along the lines of this:
Surplus Center - 1X4X0.5 DA HYD CYL
I think it is fairly inexpensive and small. I don't have any general purpose in mind other than to just get it working.
I know I need a reservoir, a pump, a valve, and hosing.
Anyone suggest any low cost, low performance parts to complete this project?
Shane
