Need Help!- VM1 spindle clamp/unclamp error

Hello,

I am getting an error message on my 2003 Hurco VM1 when I try to unclamp a tool from the spindle. It will release the tool but it promptly faults out and causes me to go into the menu to clear out the error before being able to insert another tool in the spindle. This is the error it gives:

Both spindle clamp and unclamp inputs detected. Enter ATC & Machine Diagnostics to clear error.

Has anyone seen this before? Any tips for repair?

My machine sat without use for about 2 months and after the sitting, this problem started happening.

Try this : Open up the head cover, and above the spindle is the unclamp cylinder, the Top Limit switch is stuck ON.

Use a little WD40 and work the plunger up down to free it up.
