Looking for a servo for a BMC30. It is the Y axis servo. Any segguestions?

You'll need to narrow down the part you need by expanding on that. Is it a:
BMC30 Fanuc
BMC30 Yaskawa
BMC30ap Yaskawa
BMC30m Baldor
BMC30m Yaskawa
BMC30htm Siemens

Or just plant the serial number up.

It is a Baldor. The sticker is pretty hard to read but it looks like it says MTE...I can't tell if that is the serial or model number. There is another number starting with FME?????

It's a Baldor MTE-4535-special (Hurco part number 401-4005-004).
It's got a 2500 ppr encoder in it.
What's up with the one you've got?

Yes that appears to be the number. The shaft is twisted off on the one we have. We bought this machine new and I can't remember it having a hard enough hit to cause the shaft to break. It looks like the shaft has been cracked for a long time and was only hanging on my about 1/4 of the shaft dia for a while. I think we are going to try another servo off a Hawk that we have.

look up Potomac Electric on the net. they are in the boston area. Leny is the guy to talk to there. he has replacement motors that work very well to replace the baldor motors. i think they are shown on their website. ron
