    hurco vm1 x axis fault

    can anyone help me i have a 2year old vm1 ,i started the machine up and calibrated it ready to put in a programme and a customer came to talk to me and after about 10 mins. i heard it exhaust the air as it does if left for a period of time when i went back to work with it there was a fault on x axis showing on screen which hurco tech guy said was cable disconnected or a motor fault , this did not appear to be the case, a.nd eventually i swapped the wires over on the x and y drives and the fault stayed with the same servopack , i suspect the servopack is faulty or is there any other explanation. thanks in advance merv385

    Boss, even iam sailing with u in the same boat.
    In my siemens 810d controlsystem of jyoti cnc make vmc, there was x axis fault alarm;
    They snapped the x&y axes wires. the problem persisted. Then they changed the control card in the servo drive. But now my plc is not enabling. plc sign of life monitoring alarm2000 is always there. Then they found that the communication black siemens cable
    has been damaged by rat bite.Now iam waiting to replace that commn cable.yet not clear whether the problem will be solved.
