Need Help!- download from pc to machine bmc30 ssm

hi everone

i have a 98 bmc 30 ssm but just yesterday i loaded my nc file into the machine no probs but when i went to use the machine this spindle wouldnt rotate it does that some time so i turned off the machine and tried to load the progamme in again but did not work, normally the free space memory would start decreasing but did not this time, funny thing is i can send from the machine to the pc no probs but if i try send the programme that ive already send to the pc back to the machine it wont load in or a new programme i even got a test programme off hurco and that doesnt work,
ive have tried new lead new computer did still the same, i'm cracking up

i have a new problem now tried booting up the machine and all its doing there is a small message on the screen saying" security device is invalid or has failed"

First, if you have a 9-pin to 9-pin cable, Plug it into com1 and com2 on the machine.
Press Auxiliary, enter, 527, enter to get to the diagnostics. Press console tests, RS232 tests. When it's started, it'll send stuff between the ports and let you know if it's working ok.
If it is, check the file you are trying to send to the machine begins with a % and ends with E

ive tried entering the dianostics but wont let me in when i enter the code it does not do anything??

Ah, good point. Does it have V1 or V2 software (version can be found by looking at the left screen after pressing "input").

In which case, auxiliary, enter, 100, enter, control diagnostics, rs232 test.

i'm thinking the test is com 1 test and com 2 test?? and when i connect my cable and try the test in com1 it says failed and the same in com2? have i got the right cable? the cable i am using is one i made up with loopback. i am no genius with this kind of stuff so please bare with me

i looped 2&3 on the pin out and the 2 com ports passed, anything else you can think of?

hi yes my programme is starting with% and ending with E.

Go to the conversational programming side to set up the serial ports. You should use 7, 1, even. Then switch over to NC and check the settings. Make sure the PC is running the correct, matching settings on whatever program you are using to transfer the file and in windows.
