My Hurco KMB1 monitor only displays a thin/faint verticle line in the center of screen when I power it up. It disappears after a few minutes. Looking at the back of the CRT I can see a orangish glow inside. Quesion, How do I know if its the CRT itself or the driver board? I see the connector between the board and crt has 2 black wires and 2 white wires Can a standard home computer monitor be wired to use? |

| If it's a KMB1, it will have the small 9" monochrome monitor in it. These were powered by a 15vdc regulator and were driven using composite video (two wires: video and ground). Chances are, you'll either have a bad bi-polar cap on the driver card mounted on the CRT or a dry joint on the PCB or one of the connectors. The four wires to the CRT chassis were IIRC, from the back to the front: Video, Video ground, 15v, 0v. Measure them up before doing anything though. |
