(This ones for you Brock!) My '91 Hurco BMC20(Ultimax2 and Yaskawa) has an alarm, "Leadscrew Map Checksum Failure, Data was invalid and was erased". I think one of you guys told me it was related to the memory board at some point, well, I have the memory board with the 3 empty battery slots. I realize the backup voltage is internal to the chipset, but, can I solder lithium(or whatever the proper voltage is) batteries into those slots to supply backup voltage? Just to give all the info, when I power up the machine, I have to go to the 639 hidden page and edit an axis spec, then reboot, then confirm, then reboot before the machine will operate correctly. After I do this it runs fine, until I go to run a program, then I get the "Leadscrew Map" alarm. Let me know what you guys think so I can figure this thing out! Thanks in advance. |

| I do not have the info on how to convert the memory pcb over to lithuim batteries. You should purchase one P/N 415-0368-002. 1.) Boot up machine 2.) Calibrate 3.) go to the ATC Diag Screen 4.) press enter 6,4,2, enter, 5.) Select the Dual Axis Defaults 6.) Store data to disk 7.) Exit, 8.) Manual Mode, Calibrate and now try to run a program.
