    machine codes

just got a hurco vm1 with the MAX controller about 1 year old and it dose not have the ultipocket ,the 3d or the dxf features turned on. The company i work for is to cheap to buy them for the ones who run it. so i was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me out with this, It would make my job a lot easier.

    thanks.

Hurco has the key codes on a disk they ship it when you buy it. You might get a dealer to give you a temporary turn on but other than that. You got what you got. I run a mold shop for injection mold tooling. I use to be the Senior Applications Engineer for Hurco some years back. Ultipockets is ok, DXF is nice, 3d probably isnt as good as you think. 3d you draw a profile and the only thing you can do with it is, swing it like a jump rope, spin it like a merry-go-round, or extrude it like a gutter. Not true 3d more 2.5 D like AutoCad in the early 80'S. You will need something like Mastercam, Rino, dolphin, and the list goes on (not Bobcad read the complaints)
