Hi all
I'm new to this forum. I'm doing programming for a shop that has a Hurco
from about 1996. I'm not too familiar with the control or machine.
I'm programming in mastercam and most of the programs are too big to
fit in memory. The machine is hooked up to a computer through an FTP
site to transfer programs. My question is does the ultimax control have a read
from tape option? Will that work like DNC drip feed from an FTP?

Call Hurco US and go to service and talk to Brock Rexing, Steve Artz, or Don Schmekey. Any one there is great and will have the answers. I just deal with these 3 a lot. 1-800-634-2416. I dont know if you can add memory or do the drip feed thing. They will know for sure.

I did call Hurco service and thay did help. Turns out all we had to do was
turn off the windows fire wall. The drip feed worked the same as you would
load a program into memory

Hurco's techs are great I use to work at the location with several of them. I have yet to have one that can't help.
