Is there a way to select the entire screen or large portions of it for the ultimax II to build its data base from? All lines and arcs are of equal depth and same tool. It seems rediculous to have to pick a hundred different contours and have the ultimax make as many data blocks. I ran into this problem when I created a sign in autocad with the autocad text. I then exploded the text and saved it as dxf. The ultimax seems to allow choosing multiple holes at once but not lines and arcs. |

| Yup, ultimax and autocad do not mix well. Be sure that yout contour is closed all the way and that there are no line overlaps. You should be able to pick on one segment of the selected feature and ultimax will loop the contour from your start point to the end of the countour. If the cad geometry is good and it doesn't you need to change the end point tolerance and or check the cad model. This will equal one data block in the program, there may be a bunch of segments, but this is all dependent on how complex the geometry is. Remember that it is only one data block per piece of selected geometry. Take for instance your sign example, every letter will be a seperate data block. Only hole can be mass selected and you still have to pick each one. Hope this make sense. Bruce |
