I have a hurco sm-1 mill and i am having trouble with the z axis, before and after it makes a cut the head seems to bounce quite a bit, sometimes it will even throw a motion senser and shut down the machine, anybody have any ideas for a fix? Im was told it is probably the board, i have already replaced the z motor, it has new brushes, and i put a new ribbon cord in the boards any ideas? |

| Since you have swapped out the motor you have ruled out the encoder. Most likely the board, but I would also swap out cable assembly between the Z axis motor and the control box with one of the other ones. If you are lucky, it might be a cable/connector problem. Is this a B or BX control? |
