| VM1 Graphite Hurco Mill Hello, I am just curious about the VM1 Graphite for milling trodes and/or hardmilling. Any pros and cons would be appreciated. Thanks |

| I do it all the time. Just clean the piss out of it when you are done with the graphite. Pull back way covers and wipe it all down. Spindle too, and tool changer. You can not have a big enough vacume (1700 cfm minimum). I would not worry about the hard milling at all. I am cutting H-13 cores and cavities on a mold. The H-13 rockwells at 48-54 C scale depending on what I require of it. I will be cutting D2 in the near future. You just have to have the right insert and get good speed and feed information on the cutters you buy SGS tinamite coated. email me direct for more information. gsilberberg@progressive-plastics.net |
