I'm trying to help a friend solve some problems he's having with his 1982 Kmb1 hurco. It has a amts emulator. At first when he would try to load the master he would get random characters on the crt on the hurco and a could not initialize com port error on the computer with the emulator. Now when he powers up the machine he gets nothing on the crt on the hurco, it just blank. It seems like we had this problem before and we reseated the connecctors on the memory board and it went away. I also seem to remember some low valtages from the power supply to the memory board. what should these voltages be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mike Fender |

| Try reseating ALL the wires leading to ALL the boards. While you are at it remove the ribbon cable at the bottom of all the boards and reinstall it 180degrees out. I was once told to do that to check the ribbon cable. First thing to do is take pictures and notes of all the wire locations. I have a KMBX1 that someone had missinstalled a wire. That kept the machine from running. I have also had other problems that I was able to resolve but nothing exactly like yours. Hope I could help. |
