Set it running in manual at around 10RPM and with a smooth toolholder, try stopping the spindle by hand to see if there are any ‘dead’ areas during rotation. You may have a failing output stage.
Hello fellow cnc zoner's, I have a hurco 1997 4020ht siemans drive with some spindle problems.
when speed reaches 3000-4000 rpm motor starts to growl and vibrate also not orientating the same
jumping all over, any ideas? thanks!

Could be the encoder in the motor then.
They can do. Bear in mind there are hundreds of parameters to copy across to a new unit. Best off getting a copy of the IBS software and an old PC.
