    Question Hurco KM3

I hope this is the last time the Hurco crashes.
Striped all the electronics out of the Hurco.
Going to use Gecko 320x drivers and PMDX 126. You can't
count on the Max 32 to be there when you want it. This is going
to be a different project. Nobody around here has done a servo retrofit.
May be asking a lot of questions.

    Dave,

    You can do it.

There are several very knowledgeable people on this site.

Here are some pics that Dave has shared with me through e-mail.

This is before he started on the power side of the cabinet.

Here it is after he cleaned it up and removed the excess stuff. I hope mine looks that neat. It will make things easy to troubleshoot.

This is the control side for his drives and other goodies. I like the 120volt plug in receptacle. You can't hard-wire everything. Sometimes you just want to plug something in.

This is/was the arm for the pendant. I'm not sure, but he may be going to put his monitor & computer in a compartment on this.

Looking good, Dave. You are trucking along and will probably be finished and giving me help to get mine going.

    keaneoo,

I don't have any previous electrical experience. I have been reading, studying, and saving information. (for about 2 years)

Al_the_ man is fantastic, as well as many other people here.

Start looking around an reading the posts on retrofitting, look at some of the answers, and read a lot of what Al says.

Dave, and I are both re-using our old servo motors.

Most of the info and knowledge I have obtained, is because of reading others problems and things they liked or disliked about certain electronic components.

    Read, Read, Read.

Also, there is a picture of a beer up in the right hand corner for Al & the others that help.

When one of those guys helps you with a problem, buy them a beer. It puts $5 in their paypal account.

These guys do this for free, just to help us out.

    Good luck,
