There was PC Max that had a utility that allowed you to program conversational programs and then it would output them as NC files.
We have many older BMC mills in both Max 2 and Max 3. I have a communications program to upload and download both conversational and NC programs from the Max 2 machines to a computer with RS232. In that software package was a program that allowed me to take a Max 2 conversational program and convert it to NC code. Does anyone know if there is anything like that for the Max 3 programs? We have a rather large program that we need to do a few moves that we can't do normally (ie we need to orient the spindle, move Z, restart the spindle, and cut blind. We could do it if we could control it more but the conversational side safety won't allow it so if we could convert and run NC we would be golden. Don't know if Hurco still supports the older software of if they even offered that package on the Max 3 machines.

That is what we have (PC Max) and I have used it on the Max 2 machines many times, but it will not work with the Max 3 as it is an older version and will not read the newer programs. I was not sure if there was a Max 3 version of PC Max available still. Thanks
What you have is Max PC I think. It used the .HDB file extensions. PC Max used .HD3 extensions to be compatible with Max 3 controls.

As always, thanks for the info and insight. That helps clear us some of my confusion. I guess we will contact Hurco and see if they still have the PC Max software available.
This program will do it, I got it from hurco years ago
See the Zip file I attached
Have fun
