If you start the servos and then select the A axis (without calibrating it and without attempting to jog it) does it run away on ity's own?
If not, does it run away when you try to jog it on the handwheel?
When it does run away, does the display for the A-axis count?
Does it count in the right direction for the direction the table is rotating?
It may be just that the table has the encoder direction parameter reversed in the control.
