First check your air line lube cup to enshure your system is getting a drop every 2-3 tool changes
There are two speed adjustments for the pocket...
You can reach them thru the 6"X8" door... try adjusting speed
When i am running a program on my hurco bmc 2416. Sometimes the tool pod will not come down. Not allowing a full tool change. Then the machine faults out. Could the selinoid be going bad?

If you have been cutting fibreboard or anything that turns to dust, it's possible the slide for the pocket actuator is dry. Remove the disc cover on the magazine and look for the two parallel rails underneath. Manually clean and grease these along with the counterbalance slide (curved track inside the weight at the bottom of the air cylinder).
Ok i will check this out first thing tomorow. The spindle goes up to tool change hight and the spindle orients and the controller says tool change in progress then about thirty secounds go by and the machine falts out. I will get back to you guys tomorow on what i find out.
Nope problem still not fixed. spindle will stop and go to tool change hight. then nothing.
Could it be a prox switch on the tool change magazine? The magazine will calebrate but when i move the magazine manualy in moves four pods either direction then needs to be calebrated again. But when the tool change faults out. The correct tool is always in the rite place![]()
There are 2 adjustable valves in the cylinder. Turn them ccw to speed it up. The top one is down... Bottom is for the up motion. I adjusted one today.
