An upgrade to Version 2.37 will let it keep offsets and the NC file loaded at the time of power down.
I'm am an electronic tech at our company that is a proud owner of a Hurco Hawk 5 SSM. I am not the user of the equiptment but I have been asked to find out a way to upgrade it. Currently, if you power down, it loses the offsets. Our model maker has heard of an upgrade that can be performed so that it keeps those offsets. Does anyone know how this can be done?
An upgrade to Version 2.37 will let it keep offsets and the NC file loaded at the time of power down.
What exactly gets upgraded in version 2.37 and how would I upgrade to version 2.37? Is that something I would have to go to Hurco or is there a way I can do it?
You'd need to speak to Hurco about it as it involves hardware and software changes.
Thanks! Has anyone else had the upgrade done?
I just heard back from Hurco and they quoted me:
0073003012T CPU ASSY ISA/PCI P/B 478 PIN PGA INTEL CPU/FAN/256 $2160.00
4150166916 ASSY ISA/PCI 11 POS. NEXCOM PASSIVE BACKPLANE $305.00
0074121047 NON-WARRANTY, V2.XX SOFTWARE UPGRADE $350.00
Labor 500.00
It is definately not worth sending in our whole computer rack and paying $3300 to keep the offsets. Are there any DIY fixes for this?
