BMC 20 RS232 help

My 91 BMC 20 Ultimax 2 has a DB25 connector. I am trying to hook up to my PC with a DB9 connector. Can I buy this particular null modem connector or do I have to build it? Also can I get specific pin to pin configuration? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Do you have the instruction manual? if so, towards the end there is a description of what the pinout is. I made my own cable, looking up the pinout of the hurco, and the pinout of a serial port which I looked up with a google search. There are a couple pins you have to short together on the hurco side. I believe there are eight wires which need to travel between the computer and the machine, because I used an ethernet cable for mine. If you don't have the manual, let me know and I'll throw something up here in the next day or two, as I'm out of town tomorrow... unless bloke beats me to it.

Connect pin 1 on the 25way plug to the shield.

25way 3 to 9way 3
