Try a re-seat of the memory on the CPU to start with.
We have a Hurco VM1 that is a couple years old now and it has been acting up on us. We can use the machine and it will work fine. However after using the machine for a little while occasionally the work light will go out and the air in the spindle will quit. after doing this is gives a following error on the x-axis. and yesterday when it did this it jumped about .250 in the x-axis expectingly. I don't know if the light and the spindle air have to do with each other or not but it seems like they do. If anyone has any ideas of what might be causing this or how to fix it this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the advice but could you please tell me how to do that? that would be greatly appreciated.
In the electrical cabinet there is a silver box with a cover held on with four thumbscrews.
Turn off the power to the machine and remove the cover to the box.
Put on the static wrist strap hanging in the cabinet.
In front of you is a long card with two memory card(s) on the front edge.
Carefully pop the memory card(s) out of their sockets and re-insert them being careful not to force them too hard.
Replace the cover.
ok thanks i will try that.
Pull the 2 boards to the left of the pc. They are held in with 2 slot screws. They need to be re seated into the backplane. Sometimes the backplane needs to be shimmed.
