    Post

I kinda inherited a VM1 and I'm running Mastercam 9 . Because 9 is no longer supported I'm in need of a post processor for it. Anyone have one?

    Thanks in Advance

Do you have the ISNC option? If so, then the easiest thing to do is probably to just alter the generic FANUC post to your liking. We did this a while ago at a previous employer and don't recall it being too difficult. It should be pretty close, I would think.

ISNC stands for Industry Standard Numerical Control. It's HURCO's way of saying that it's FANUC compatible instead of the HURCO g-code which is somewhat different I'm told.

When you go to "change editor" under the auxillary page and are going from conversational to g-code, there will be a choice for "Industry Standard" if you have the option.

I'm using Mcam9 on my BMC 20 with Ultimax 3 control in HNC mode, not ISNC. I have a hurco post in Mcam that I had to modify slightly to output the way I wanted it to. 3 decimal places and Z depth figures for drilling routines mostly. Not sure if the VM1 being a later machine would be the same but let me know if you want it.
