Hurco VM2 swing arm alignment -no power on

I had problems with my swing arm tool changing stopping at the 60 deg rotation.

There was no input from the position sensor at 60 deg.

Finally fixed the problem by realigning and securing the 60 and 0 deg alignment pin sleeve inside the air cylinder housing. The sleeve had come loose and was rotating freely and needed retightening.

This fixed and the power restored, the swing arm re engaged and was operating out of original rotational position and the sensor locations were not aligning with the swing arm locations.
There must be a vertical spline on the swing arm and I was off a spline when the air cylinders took over. Estop and the arm lowers and I can manually rotate the swing arm and vertically re engage at the correct position.

The power button fails to restore power to the machine. There must be a switch or something I am missing that allows power on.

I have had the power on button restore power after repeated estops and varius swing arm rotations, but it seems random and the swing arm always re engages out of position when the air cylinders pull up the swing arm.

Any suggestions as how to restore power button power to the cylinders without having the swing arm lowered and possibly re engaging incorrectly?

    Thanks

The arm has two racks - one at the top and one at the bottom. When air is re-applied, it seems your bottom rack is pushing the arm out of alignment before the vertical cyulinder starts to lift it.
Pull the arm into alignment and lift it slightly (about 1/2") and put a piece of wood under it to keep it from engaging in the bottom rack. Keep the middle right solenoid button pressed, apply the air and allow the arm to rise. It should put the racks in the right place to carry on.
If you can lift the toolchanger arm in any position, it'll need to come off to have the little key replacing at the bottom of the assembly.

    Thank You Bloke
I can carry on as normal once it is in alignment.
If the machine goes in sleep mode, the arm drops lower than it used to and I lose alignment again. I might have a leaky upper o ring.
Resolving the key problem should fix everything, thanks for the insight.
I'm still in the dark as to conditions needed for the power on switch to function.
It just takes multiple attempts when the swing arm is out of synch.
