PC keyboard for Ultimaxx ssm ???

Hi all, (just for curiosity sake)

I heard that some hurco's came with a PC Keyboard attached to the controls. (see Image)

Would this just be for making Gcode NC programming easier ??

Also my control only has an RS232 female socket on the rear...
So how would you connect one?

We have a BMC 30 with that SSM comtroller and the keyboard plugs in on the back right hand corner on the underside. It uses the old style connector...the round one with 5 pins. They are getting hard to find around here.

Our VSX24 does not have that port !! never mind..

I've never worked on one that didn't have a socket. Probably including yours..
