The University of Louisville Haas Technical Education (HTEC) and Rapid Prototyping Center has announced they are offering a 3-day workshop titled, "CNC Machining for Beginners".

This hands-on workshop is designed for non-machinists with a technical background. It assumes no previous machining experience.

Those who will benefit most from this course have a technical background and good mechanical aptitude, some exposure to Solid Modeling CAD, and the need to understand how CAD/CAM/CNC works.

Topics covered include tool selection, cutting speeds and feeds, basic workholding, and CNC mill setup and operation.
