Default What tool path for lathe boring?

I have been looking at a few different software packages for CNC. A friend recommended looking at HSMworks. It looks good as far as the milling goes but I do have a question about the lathe part.

As the title indicates what tool path would you use for boring? I need to bore from the front and there will be a ridge of material to go over and then the bore would continue behind that. I think it might be called back boring? Is HSM works capable of this? I have been looking through their documentation and may have missed something.

    Thanks

Boring is treated as a standard turning operation, just with an internal tool and the use of the 'machine inside' switch. It's a bit tricky to get it working right, as the planes effectively end up reversed.. but it's likely capable of doing what you ask.
