    HobbyCNC question

Hello. Lew Riley with a question. I have several small steppers and am just getting started building a small machine. I bought a four axis driver board from Hobby cnc and hope to drive them with it. The instruction book says that you must use vresistors for current limits. ? The steppers are marked Vexta, 2 phase 1.8 degree steps 6v and 1.2 amps. Is this considered total amps or if not, how would I figure it out. The manual wants amps / cycle . Thanks for any input Lew

    Lew,
The formula is given in the instructions. The "AMPS" is nameplate....NOT total. Use 1.2A Thats amps/coil....not /cycle....
