Sounds like a software setup problem. Have you contacted your software vendor on this? Seems like it works fine with Kcam. Correct?

Wink How to set up Estop for HobbyCNC board

    Hi
I have HobbyCNC controller board and it works fine with Mach 2 I suspect Mach1 and Master5 are the same. In Mach 2 you have to dedicate a switch to The external saftey switch input and you have to provide an appropriate signal at the specified input port pin. It is very easy to do this even without an actual external saftey switch (sorry Art). In Mach 2 you open the ports and pins section of the config menu then select the Input pins tab and check that the Emergency stop is configured for a input pin you are not using (Port 1 pin 10) on my system then check the active low selection box to the left of the "Emergency Stop" item. By setting it active low, you effectively by pass it as it floats high.

The Hobby CNC controller is a great little microstepping board at an incredible price and it uses one of the most advanced controller / driver chips available from Allegro. Although the motors run a little hot the board works great and it works very well with Mach2. HobbyCNCs 200 oz in steppers are very good bargains also.
