4 axis foam machine

I am wanting to build a 4axis foam hotwire cutter. if I get the hobbycnc foam pro package, what else do I need other than software and the machine.

I do have a 50vdc powersupply is that to much or does it just draw as much power as it needs?

The hobby cnc pro board can only handle 42V. If you go over this you will fry it. -Adam

Is a powersupply all i need with that package, and does it just plug into the computer without going thru a breakout board.
