Limit and EStop Switches with HCNCPro board

Just trying to figure out which way to go with controller boards and motors. I am looking at the Hobby CNCPro 3-axis Package. But one question is bothering me.
How does one allow for stop and limit switches when using the Hobby CNCPro board, with no breakout board using Mach3?

The pins used for switch inputs to the PC are just routed to solder pads on the controller board. All you really need to do is wire those pads with pull-up resistors, then wire to your switches, and back to ground. +5V is available on the board for the pull-ups.

If I understand, wire the pads to the +5v through the Pull up resister to force the pin to go High, then when the switch closes it will pull the pin to ground?
