I just bought a homemade cnc router from the builder. It is using a HobbyCNC control board and TurboCNC software. As a non DOS person I was wondering if Flashcut v1.41 would run this board. I have an old Dell P2 PC that I can set up to run Flashcut if it is compatable with the HobbyCNC board. Has anyone done/tried this combo? John |

| Flashcut port pinouts are radically different than most of the parallel port cards out there (HobbyCNC, Xylotex, etc). The signals are compatable (Step & Dir) but you will have to build a special cable to cross over all of the signals. It can be done. I recently got one of our Xylotex based drive boxes to drive from a Flashcut pulse card and software. I had to cut a custom PCB to make things work. TOM CAUDLE www.CandCNC.com |
