Well I finally put together a HobbyCNC Foam Cutter board I've had for 7 years, last week. But in the process I lost the page that has the final voltage test method on it. I've finished the rest of my foam cutter and am really dying to test the board and hook everything up.
I've written to HobbyCNC and applied to join the private Yahoo group, but haven't had a reply yet. It hasn't been long but I have been pulling my hair out looking for the missing instruction page in the house, the trash, and even in the car.
Can somebody put me out of my misery and give me the steps to test the board with a 9 volt battery before plugging in the IC's -- that's all I need.
The board is the old 4 axis foam cutter board, with heat control, and the power resistors that you had to add to limit stepper current -- before the choppers came in... it's called the "Foam Cutters Econo Driver Board". Part # 4ADBWHC.
Thanks so much for your help. --- I'd love to see this thing run tonight.

Cancel that. Dave Rigotti of HobbyCNC just emailed me the instructions at 8PM, tonight.
Highly recommend HobbyCNC. The board was first class and so is the customer service. How many companies send out requested technical info within hours of a request, at night, on a 7 year old purchase.
As far as I can tell, only one.
