I'm looking at making my own bow (archery), and found a place that makes u-finish bows. They are made with the use of a cnc machine. By chance, I recently gained access to a ShopSaber 4896 CNC Router Table. Now, I just need to figure out how. Any help? |

| That is a pretty broad question! Break it out into sections, and post in the appropriate areas here. Be sure to include what you do know so people know where to start. There is using the router to make the parts you need. Wood working questions that apply. bow questions. plans and designs. |

| This is the site that I got the idea from. I've never used a CNC before and basically want to get the product here but do it myself http://www.bowstick.com/storefront/i...oducts_id=1392 |

| They cut it with a CNC laser, not a router. There's no CNC routing done on that bow.

Or water jet, but if he's talking about wooden bows then a router would be just fine. I own a few archery items and they are made of some kind of plastic that I can't think of the name of it right now and they were either waterjetted or lasered. I seen Horton Bows/Crossbow company shop and they were using a water jet to cut the bow it'self out. Then there were some other peices that they used a cnc mill to drill and cut out. |
