I just want to start by saying that I did not make this but it is the coolest thing i have ever seen. i would site a source but i don't have one. I found thees photos on a web site a few years ago and they have been sitting in my ideas folder for a while.. just thought that i would share. It has got to be the best example of Machine Art that i have ever found. Hennessy |

| You can find that project along with the writeup about it at the sherline Joe Martin craftsmanship museum website. http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/ There is a lot of cool stuff there you may want to check out. Some very impressive projects there. |

| I would love to know whether he did all that work at his own expense; or did he suck some grant from a government agency. In other words is he a productive member of society or just a parasite.

| Hi DC, I have seen the videos before on the site you linked to. I have got a question. Is the broaching tool turned by a separate motor or it turns due to the spindle turning? I have seen machine cutting hexagonal shape on the OD of a work piece. But the way it was cut is a very complicated movement by the broaching tool and the lathe spindle. I can't explain it but basically the tool rotate as well in relation to the work piece. TBH, broaching is a very fascinating machining technique but one that I still can't understand. Alex |
