    Question Military CNC Applications

    Hello all,

I am a student and am exploring possible military applications of a CNC machine. I am an electrical engineering major at a military academy and just finished a 3-axis CNC router in my spare time to get a feel for the CNC field. For a senior project, I would like to design some sort of compact and portable machine for military application. However, I do not know how some type of CNC machine (router, mill, lathe, ect.) could be of benefit to a military unit. The only thing I can imagine right now is making 3D terrain models out of topographic images or replacement parts for equipment. Any brainstorming ideas would be helpful. The simpler, the better!

    Thanks,

    -Bart
