I'm working on a DYI mill/router (not sure which one yet) and was wondering what are the general pro's and con's to using either timing belts or ballscrews for linear motion. Obviously ballscrews are more expensive than belts, but would I really need them if I'm planning on cutting only wood and soft metal (i.e. aluminum, copper, tin.) |
