    Dual Motor Axis?

Hi, im wondering if this idea is fesible, or, if it has already been accomplished how did it go?

Got belt driven axis, x and y. Failry long (500mm by 1000mm). Got Nema 17 motors (0.6amp) with a cnc controller which can control upto 3.5amp. Got t5 pulley’s with 16mm wide belt. Now then, it is possible if i use two motors wired in as one for one axis? i mean, put one motor at one end and one motor at the other end connected by a belt. would resistance in the wires have to be the same in order to get each coil inside each motor the same amount of power?

I am trying to increase accuracy, torque and overall cost as i have a few nema 17’s, i am aware that it would be easier to get a higher motor to achieve all this but i would like to mix it up a little. Has anybody tried using this set-up with a belt driven table?

    Duncan
