    My poor wife!

Please tell me I'm not the only one with an offce that looks like this.

wires, tools, gidgets and gadgets, old computers from one end to the other,

I laugh but wonder, how does my wife live with all this "stuff' lying around

Please help, I need pictures to show her I'm not the only one

haha! you'rs is mild compared to mine. I barely have room for my mouse.

I have a 3d scanner, stacks of mail, clothes (my wife thinks if she stacks them on my desk that I'll put them away.....I'll show her! ), pop cans, empty cigarette packs, etc.

OK I'm impressed but what exactly do you do with them, that is software wise?

Not to side track the thread or anything, but is this for mechanical engineering? I suppose we could have a whole section devoted to engineering software.

Originally I used them for scale testing some software for a start up company I was part of.

When that folded they were then part of my other hobby, distributed computing. I used these machine to support the effort that D2OL was doing to find a drug cure of the scrouges of the world like sars, malaria, etc,

Now they are just all packed away, except for the one used on my Taig mill, and the 2 for my next projects. The room is being reburbished for use by my mother-in-law who had a stroke and my office has been reduced to a part of the living room.

PS it was loud and hot in that room with all those machines running. and the electric bill was out of sight in the summer time with the amount of AC used to keep it bearable. It would be possible to use LINUX (Mosix) to ceate a high end engineering setup with a few of them. hmmmmmm.

    Hey Dan,
This is the way my computer desk looked as I read this thread. I didn't cheat and add or subtract anything. I know it's pretty pathetic but what can I say Im a guy, lol. I have also included a pic of my fiances laptop which is on the about 7 feet from mine. Its like the difference between night and day.

Like I said "my poor wife" anything else in the house has to be put away in
it's own place, just right but when it comes to the office or garage she just shake's her head and closes the door

My office actually looks not too bad comparing to the garage
