I recently stumbled on, for all intents and purposes is a Rankine Cycle Radial engine. And of course, I thought it was cool enough that I needed to sit down and figure out how to build one! Its called the 'Cyclone Engine' http://www.cyclonepower.com/index.html, its basically a steam powered, external combustion, Rankine cycle, radial engine. I was wondering if anyone has ever built a Rankine... well, anything. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to size the pump that moves the working fluid from the condenser back in to the heat exchanger. If anyone could share any insight in to the Rankine cycle that would be appreciated, thanks! |
