Hello all, I'm new to this site but was very pleased to find it as I am about to go into CNC machining myself. Initially i want to learn and I thought the best way was to get hold of a proxon MF 70 milling machine and convert it myself as this seems the cheapest option. I have found a stepper motor kit online for £135 :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...d=&mfe=sidebar And stepper motor mounts for £59.97 :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...d=&mfe=sidebar And i can buy a Proxon MF 70 for arround £130 off the interent. Is this kit going to work and what else am I going to need? I would appreciate it if someone could have a look at this gear and tell me if it's compatible or not. The other thing i was wondering is can I mill copper with the Proxxon MF 70, not for mass production but for prototypes. And also what is the best CAD/CAM software setup the runs with mech3 for beginers? Thanks for your time JonnyC321 |
