Default Gas springs for lid - diy

Guys, need a hand please for choosing gas springs.

I need to know which lb weight will work for a lift top. Think of a hinged chest top that is parallel to the ground in its closed position, and approximately 70-degrees in its open position.

    Details are:
20lb top that is 42" deep.

(If you are standing in front of the handle to open the lid, it is 56" wide and 42" deep)

What lb rating should my gas springs be?

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    John
