Talking Contract Programer

Woody,

What kind of controls does your Hardinge T42's have ? Also are they just two axis lathes or do they have live tooling or twin spindles. My Hardinge T42's have OT controls that's what I have experience on. Are you wanting someone to be on site or just write your programs and email them.

Email dwaynefoy@windstream.net

Thanks,
Dwayne Foy

Did you notice the date Woody posted? Extra work would be nice in these times, but I'm sure Woody filled the position long ago. I've been programming Hardinges for 24-1/2 years starting with CHNCs with Allen Bradley controls which were all sold off as we bought Conquests. I program for OT and 18T controls with various options from a plain tailstock to programmable subspindles and those with a C-axis. I know Macro B some, and have written a few master programs plus various other macro subroutines.

I contacted Woody right after he posted, and although he answered a couple questions about the machines, he didn't have any interest in talking any further with me.

You should figure on ANY position being filled almost immediately. There are always lots of guys looking for work.

Do you need an off-site programmer? Things are slow here although what few jobs I get are often new ones (for 50 pieces or less ).

I hope you realize I wasn't being a smarta$$. I do feel that a follow up from him stating the position had been filled would have been nice. To me personally wouldn't have been necessary as long as Woody had posted something here. I think that is only fair to those of us with an interest in supplying the programming for him.
