| Thread cuttig Greetings, When I select 24 TPI on the gearbox of my Hardinge Lathe I have to select position 3 on the feed selector,as opposed to position 2 as indicated on the gearbox data plate. The lathe had been rebuilt sometime in it's life, but I cannot see what to change to correct the problem, can anyone help. Regards, Kevin (South Africa) |

| I'm not specifically familiar with the manual gear boxes on Hardinge but, it sounds like to me there is a spacer/collar maybe misplaced or a gear left out of the assembly causing the selector to be off. Can you aquire all of the TPI ranges? Are any other selections off by the same setting? You may have to consult Harding for a manual or they may be able to help with thier tech support. |
