Hi, I'm looking into updating the way we transfer our programs to our Hardinge Conquest T42SP CNC lathe with a GE Fanuc 18-T controller. Currently we are using Procomm in DOS mode with a very out dated computer. I would like to use Windows XP and a transfering software to communicate with our lathe. I've heard of some free software one of which is Serve You FTP, but was wondering what others are using to transfer programs and where they are available. Thx |

| ok just to answer my own question and lend a hand to others that have the same, i found some trial software on the web: http://www.connectcnc-dnc.com/index.html and also: http://i-logic.com/ (hope im not reposting) but as i was using connectcnc i figured out that cimco edit (for all those mastecam users) can also do it!!! I'm an idiot!!! LOL so tures out i got cimco edit to transfer programs to 3 of our cnc machines. just got another 2 more to go!!! |

| We curently use ProNC(pronc.com) to talk with our Hardinge and Okuma lathes also our Allaint, Bridgeport, and Tree Mills .We have a central pc which is also tied in with our plant server. This way our programer can load new or updated files to the "CNC Computer" and one feture of this software is that the operators can send and receive programs from each machine--no traveling to the pc to send programs.Check it out and there is a free trial version you may like to use. |
